The very first Amsterdam Architects Ball was held in the old Shell building on the banks of the IJ river on the eve of the annual Day of Architecture in NL. The event is a clear signal in tough times: the architects of Amsterdam are live and kicking and ready for a new future! Architects are responding to the changing face of the economy and society by initiating new ways of working and new types of engaging assigments. Motivated and driven but also open and creative, together. Cause for celebration! Abbink X de Haas contributed to this momentous occasion as one of the main sponsors but also as contributor to the musical programme.
